Sexy Beast star Ray is a number of celebrities turning out to fish in the charity event being held at Manor Farm in Bedfordshire where they are looking to raise £8,000 for the Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Also competing are Professional Darts Corporation chairman Barry Hearn, six times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis, two times PDC World Champion Adrian Wade, current snooker World Champion Stuart Bingham, footballer Jimmy Bullard, EastEnders actor Jake Wood, former Super Featherweight World Champion Nicky Cook, former Super Bantamweight European Champion Spencer Oliver and current British Super Middleweight champion Paul Smith.

“Ray’s currently away South Africa but rest assured he has insisted we ‘fish sensibly’!,” added Jess.
All-rounder Steve is thrilled he’s going to be fishing against a Hollywood A-lister in the televised contest.
Steve, who is also the reigning British Lure Angling Champion, said: “It will be fantastic to fish with Ray Winstone. I might shave my head and go all Ben Kingsley on him as in the film Sexy Beast! I’ll ‘give him a right nawty slap’ if he beats me!
“It’s an amazing event and I hope it goes from strength to strength and they raise a lot of money for a very good cause.
“I’ll swap him some fishing tips for a few acting tips for my fishing videos – who knows this time next year I could be a famous thespian!” added Steve, who appears in a popular wekly column exclusive to Angler’s Mail magazine.
